Seeds for a New Day
-a book by Sarai Stevens
A small group of neighbors and I created the Bow Little Market and formed the Chuckanut Transition initiating committee - looking for the means to help reconnect the people of the Samish Watershed into a functioning, resilient community no longer so dependent on neighboring cities for local goods and services.
In 2011, we participated in the Skagit Human Rights Festival and I created Seeds For A New Day. This book of paper cuts illustrates Transition Town concepts and is meant to inspire dialogue between families and children about the realities of our current time and how we may respond positively and write a brighter future for humankind.
With your help, I plan on self-publishing and selling this book at the Bow Little Market and other local area independent bookstores to help inspire necessary cultural changes.
Thanks so much for your support.
